Badgers is our lower Key Stage 2 class, which caters for children in years 3 and 4.  Badgers class is taught by Miss Beams and Mrs Jeffs.

We enjoy a thematic approach to the curriculum, which means that all of our National Curriculum subjects and learning are linked to one area of study.

Throughout the course of one academic year, we cover three different topics (one per term) and lessons are differentiated to support and extend all of the children in the class.

We learn through high quality classroom based activities, which cater for all learning styles. Lessons are enhanced by trips, visitors and outside learning.

Our Summer term topic is ‘Life in London: Kings and Queens’.

Through our topic we will be learning about British Kings and Queens throughout history and how they have shaped our Monarchy today. The children will have the opportunity to find out about family trees and will have the chance to build their own historical timeline.

In English, we are focusing on the text ‘I Was a Rat!’ by Philip Pullman.
