Planning an App

Tuesday, November 14, 2017

  • This year Otters have been learning about creating an app. To do this we made a presentation, created a video about our app and what it can do.

  • We have learned about different things to create our own apps.

By the end of this year we will be creating our own App that we’ve conceived.

Cake Sale

Tuesday, November 14, 2017

On Friday 17th November, we will be dressing up in silly spotty mufti.

There will also be a spotty picture competition for £1. It needs to be in by Wednesday 15th.

There will be a cake sale; all cakes will be 50p.

We hope we will raise lots of money for children in need.

Children in Need

Tuesday, November 14, 2017

Children in need day:
This week we are focusing on children in need. In Cotton End primary we think charity is very important. We will be donating 50p for one cake, every donation goes to children in need, a very good charity. Children In Need raises money for children who have very ill.
Even £1 could help a life tremendously. To dress up in a spotty costume the price is very small considering it could potentially save a life.

We hope to raise a lot of money and save a few lives.
Thank you for your time.

Factors are numbers that go into another number.

Example: 4 is a factor of 24.

Multiples are numbers that are in the times tables.

Example: 24 is a multiple of 4.

Column addition is a method of addition.

The Big Spring Sing

Thursday, March 30, 2017

Last week on Tuesday 21st March, our class went to King’s House in Bedford, with 3 other schools for a singing concert.

We had practiced for three months for the big day and it was FANTASTIC! We had been learning songs about friendship like ‘You’ve got a friend in me’ from Toy story 2, also songs about little people [children].

Once we had practised, we had dinner and had a little playtime.  Then it was time, time to show what we had practiced for. We even got the parents to join in, they were really good. It was amazing, we never wanted it to end!

Science Museum

Thursday, March 30, 2017

On the 22nd March Badgers and Otters went to the science museum in London.

Otters watched an IMAX movie about ‘Our Beautiful Planet,’ it was about how the earth works and it had lots of amazing photos from space.

Badgers went to see the robot exhibition and saw lots of different robots. One of them was a human robot that could talk and when you asked it a question or told it to do something it answered your question and did what you told the robot to do.
